ISCM Canadian Section Selects Vincent Ho’s STIGMATA (for solo cello) for World Music Days 2010, Sydney, Australia

The ISCM (International Society for Contemporary Music) Canadian Section is pleased to announce the composers and works selected to represent Canada for 2010.

A committee consisting of Keith Hamel, Jocelyn Morlock and Paul Steenhuisen met recently in Vancouver and selected six works as Canada’s official submission to the international jury of the 2010 World Music Days in Sydney.

Vincent Ho’s “Nature whispers…” Selected for International Rostrum of Composers

Vincent’s piece will be heard at the International Rostrum of Composers, an annual celebration of new music from around the world, hosted by the International Music Council. This year’s competition takes place from June 8 to 12. Over the course of the week, judges listen to some 60 works nominated by over 30 national broadcasters.
