March 29, 2009 – Vincent Ho wins People’s Choice award in CBC Evolution competition

As one of 5 finalists for CBC Radio-Canada’s national composing prize, Vincent Ho has spent the month of March in Banff, Alberta, creating a new composition based on the theme of evolution.  The resulting piece, “Nature whispers…”, was premiered on March 26 at the Banff Centre, by the Ensemble Contemporain du Montreal (Veronique Lacroix, conductor). This performance was broadcasted Canada-wide on CBC Radio. Vincent’s work was awarded the People’s Choice award based on the online votes of listeners from across the country.
