ISCM Canadian Section Selects Vincent Ho’s STIGMATA (for solo cello) for World Music Days 2010, Sydney, Australia

ISCM Canadian Section Annoucement of Selected Works for WMD 2009

The ISCM (International Society for Contemporary Music) Canadian Section is pleased to announce the composers and works selected to represent Canada for 2010.

A committee consisting of Keith Hamel, Jocelyn Morlock and Paul Steenhuisen met recently in Vancouver and selected six works as Canada’s official submission to the international jury of the 2010 World Music Days in Sydney. “Given the number of excellent works submitted, this year the jury elected to select 2 more works as ‘alternates’ in addition to the 6 national submissions ISCM Canada is permitted to send to the international comittee. In the event the International Jury requests additional works these will be suggested for consideration. All 8 compositions will be included in any case on the annual promotional ‘ISCM Canadian Section CD’.”
